When the creative branding agency Epoch Design from Bristol approached us to help them with their new office lighting, the team was buzzing with excitement. Working directly with a client is always interesting and working with a creative client who appreciates design is refreshing.
After the initial site survey, our team started working on the lighting design and product proposal. The buildings on Bristol’s Queens Square are mostly listed and can sometimes prove challenging when trying to light spaces with modern office lighting.
The very low ceilings in Epoch Design’s back office were not suitable for ceiling mounted luminaires, let alone suspended lighting.
Our team put together a scheme for the general lighting using LED wall lighting. We choose Erie surface LED for its low glare properties and the client liked the look of the fitting. The chamfered edges on the slim linear fitting Erie acts as an up and downlighter when mounted on the wall. The thin look of the fitting compliments the architecture and the white finish blends nicely into the space.
The 4000K and opal diffusers create a neutral colour temperature suitable for offices with limited access to daylight.
We also supplied wall lighting for the corridors and LED downlighters for the main office.
It was a fast turnaround project, and the new lighting design and supply was completed in 6 weeks, much to the satisfaction of the client.
