The company is an Executive Agency of the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, and is responsible for authorising patents, designs, trademarks and copyright. Consulting engineers Max Fordham in Bristol were appointed for the refurbishment of the reception area in May 2015. 299 Lighting worked with Max Fordham to provide technical support whilst specifying the lighting scheme. Large, suspended decorative pendants were to be installed above the reception desks providing task lighting as well as visual interest. 299 Rydal fittings were supplied in sizes 960 and 770 diameter providing direct/indirect light distribution. In August 2015, the products were supplied on time for installation. The client is extremely happy with the end result.
