LINEAR LED LIGHTING FOR SPECIFICATION OFFICE

740 WATERSIDE DRIVE, BRISTOL

Aztec West, 2015

Aztec West is one of the most premier business parks in UK located in northern fringe of Bristol. Conveniently situated close to M4, M5 and the aerospace industries at Filton, Aztec West is home to over 100 companies and around 7,000 people come to work here every day.

The business park was developed in the early 1980s and first opened on 15th of December 1989 by Margaret Thatcher. The park includes warehouses and factory units, several office villages and hospitality hubs.

The 740 Waterside Drive, owned by Legal and General Property, is situated just off the main circuit and one of the lakes.

This impressive 51,000 sq.f building has recently undergone a major remodeling.  The aim of this complete refurbishment was to create efficient office space of the very best quality. The building has now a clean and contemporary look attractive to people using it and to visitors.

740 Aztec West provides an unrivalled first impression. The new offices, main staircase and the impressive reception area benefit from the open space feel, improved circulation and daylight. The sense of the fit out quality remains high throughout the whole building.

Our team worked closely with the design team at Hoare Lea and guided them with the linear  LED lighting product selection process. Several product options were evaluated and supported with lighting calculations, before Lightnet’s linear LED profile Matric L4 was put forward. This 70mm wide recessed profile is modern and stylish. The micro prismatic lens distributes uniform light and blends into architecture. The repetitive use of the slim profile creates a visually striking effect. The 1200mm long profiles were fitted with reporting emergency DALI, a system that allows self test reporting.

The project moved quickly from design to construction and 299 Lighting have delivered the lighting in time to customer’s satisfaction.
