ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING AND OFFICE LIGHTING DESIGN LONDON

London has established itself as one of the most prominent international economy, design and business hubs in the world, attracting talent from every corner of the globe. The projected population rise to 11 million by 2050 represents a serious challenge. The capital's growth is putting enormous pressures on the infrastructure, communities and quality of life.

Over the past decade significant changes have taken place in the outer London areas as the centre has expanded. The high cost of accommodation combined with a desire to reduce commute time has made outer areas more attractive places to live and work. They are essential to the fabric of the capital's everyday life.

Although the centre is still the key economic driver of the capital, we now see major growth taking place in Stratford, Thamesmead, Barking, Croydon, Nine Elms, White City, Hounslow, Ealing, Brent Cross/Cricklewood, Haringey and Walthamstow. At the same time, mono-use developments are evolving to mixed-use developments with a focus on neighbourhoods, placemaking and a reduction in commute

With the borders between work and home life gradually fade, LIVE+WORK+PLAY is the new mantra for contemporary development in the capital.

Our team works closely with architects, consultants, fit-out experts and property owners in London, contributing our bit to the growth of the capital and pushing the boundaries of design. Our experienced team of lighting designers and project managers are able to provide solutions for the most complex of projects.

The range of our projects varies from architectural feature lighting for reception areas, circulation areas in large office developments, general office lighting and to lighting for offices in listed buildings.  Regardless of the scale of the project, we love the feeling of putting our mark on the architecture of the city.

The involvement of our team also varies from project to project. We work at our best when we are involved from the very early design stages and assist the client with full lighting design and lux level calculations. Some projects will need a site survey, others might require product specification and some might need lighting design consultation or product supply only

EVERY PROJECT is different, but our service is constant – we like to be involved and offer our design and technical advice.

'We were very impressed with 299 Lighting from the start of the project. Our initial contact was followed up in a timely and professional manner, with 299 Lighting showing a great deal of interest in the project. 299 proceeded with the design, providing us with a quick turnaround with quotations. We felt that although this was a small project, 299 Lighting gave us the same amount of time and detail that would often only be afforded to much larger projects. The light fittings themselves were delivered on time and well packaged, which is of great importance to the installer on a construction site to prevent any damages.'

James Collings, MD at Collings Electrical

'I used 299 Lighting for the first time having been recommended to them by my architect.  Very professional service including design of the layout.  The lights supplied look great and we are very happy.

Jonathan Kessel (director) - Tri Capital Properties LLP

"Working with 299 Lighting was great. Not only did we get the technical support and support on site, we also received general advice. I've worked with 299 Lighting previously and they provided a complete solution in terms of services, the quality of their products and the way they manufactured for our client. The products and the ranges that they have are quite unique and they really help us to push our design as architects. It was an absolute pleasure to work with 299 and they have done a great job here. "

Jimmy Kim, Architect at Bruce Henderson International

"The new Global Eagle offices on Whitfield Street in Central London are fantastic, they are a step changer from where we were before. Lots of light, lots of collaborative spaces, lots of meeting rooms, sort of providing the infrastructure that a modern media company needs. It's a great office, it is as simple as that. Lighting is great, it's on point. It’s the natural daylight. Most feedback I have received from my team working here is that the whole place is flooded with light and the light flooding is conducive to a really, really cheery workplace. "

Dan Thurlow, Senior Operations Manager at Global Eagle

"The service is really good from 299, if you need anything, like the lux level reading, you get them within two days. Samples, the visuals that they provide or lux levels, it's all really quick. I am very happy to use them again, we've got some ongoing projects going on at the moment, and that's all going very well. We work a lot with Workspace and we do lots of their Cat A fitouts, and they are really happy about the light fittings, they work really well, they are quite slick and architecturally nice looking. "

Carmen HeesakerInterior Designer at Generate Studio Limited

"We have over 65 properties across London, most of them tend to be turn of the century properties and industrial buildings, and what we trying to do is refurbish them, and when we refurbish them, we are trying to retain the character and the feel of the buildings, and not to be too garish on the design. We chose 299 Lighting because the light fittings are cool, creative and they fit in within the units that we create for our customers. The relationship we have with 299 Lighting is growing and ever evolving, they are involved with our design features from the beginning and help us to deliver the product at the end.
