In 2015, 299 Lighting were approached by Avon Lea contractors to provide a CAT A contemporary lighting scheme for the 5th and 6th Floor of Vintry House in Bristol. We worked closely with the contractor from the very early stages of the project assisting with the product selection and then providing the lighting design.
The brief was to create a suspended linear lighting scheme that would work well with the exposed ceilings and pipework whilst looking contemporary and modern. The positioning of the luminaires was crucial to ensure light levels remained uniform across the working plane whilst taking into account the positioning of the air conditioning cassettes. It was important to the client that the lighting would be a strong architectural design feature whilst complementing the clean office look.
Lopen LED Suspended fittings were supplied in black finish in order to complement the monochrome style of the interior whilst contrasting against the white walls and desks. Lopen LED is highly efficient and boasts outstanding performance. The lighting is installed in the kitchen and breakout areas, meeting rooms and across the open plan office.
Once the CAT A fit out was complete, creative fit out company Interaction were appointed to do the CAT B fit out for Rethink Group’s new office on the 5th Floor. The design of the office is funky and vibrant, with pops of colour, wall graphics… and even a pool table! Overall the client is very pleased with their new home here in Bristol, and we are pleased to have played a part in the revival of this funky workspace!
