The clock is ticking.

The UK became the first major economy in the world to create a legally binding target to end our contribution to climate change and brought Net Zero as the answer to stopping climate change. Net Zero sets up clear policies for each sector in our economy to keep us on track for decarbonisation and ultimately for Net Zero by 2050. With the built environment being the major contributor to climate change, the pressure to reduce carbon emission from buildings is growing.

After the ban of halogen light bulbs in September 2021, the traditional fluorescent tube lighting, still common in offices, will be phased out from September 2023 onwards. As lighting can account for as much as 35% of the average business electricity consumption, it is one of the best places to start when looking to reduce energy cost.

From 2025, every commercial building in the UK will require an energy performance certificate (EPC) that rates its energy efficiency from grade 'A' to 'G'.

Tailored to your requirements.

Retrofit means keeping the existing body of the luminaire and replacing the internal parts. We can supply the new LED inserts and diffusers for pretty much any commercial luminaries.

End to end solution.

Our light engineers will talk to you about your specific requirements and carry out a site survey. We are familiar with the majority of ceiling systems used in commercial buildings in the UK like the SAS, Armstrong ceilings and Ecophon ceiling tiles. We will then CAD the internal gear tray and create a working sample. If we need to match the outputs to existing fittings, we will carry out additional testing. 299 will then supply the new inserts and optics, so you can carry out the installation at your convenience.
